# Plans & billing

> How Clivanta's plans, trial, and usage limits work.

Clivanta is priced per firm, on two dimensions: **team members (seats)** and **active engagements**.

## The trial

Every new firm starts on a **14-day free trial** at the Growth tier, with no card required. When the trial ends, your firm becomes **read-only** — you can view and export everything, but creating new engagements, activating them, or adding team members is paused until you upgrade. Your data is never locked away.

## How the limits work

* **Seats** are a hard cap: inviting or reactivating a member is blocked at your plan's seat limit.
* **Active engagements** have a short grace window: if you go over, you can keep working for a few days before new activations are blocked — existing engagements are never interrupted.

You can see your current plan, usage meters, and entitlements any time under **Settings → Billing** (Partner/Admin).

  A firm over its active-engagement limit sees a banner with the days left in its grace window. Dropping back under the limit clears it automatically.
